The fashion museum in Antwerp MoMu is presenting UNRAVEL, Knitwear in Fashion. The exhibition aims to show that knitting is versatile, luxurious and a continuing source of inspiration for high end fashion (and not plain and old fashioned)! It demonstrates the popularity of knitting both on and off the catwalk over the past decades.  Vivianne Westwood and Sonia Rykiel pieces are presented alongside Haute Couture by Chanel and Schiaparelli, just to name a few.  Also newcomers on the international fashion scene are presented such as Sandra Backlund and Mark Fast. Ongoing until the 14th August 2011.

The Canadian born designer Mark Fast’s latest collaboration is with Italian Pinko. The collaboration between Mark Fast and Pinko is part of a project designed to work with young designers. 50 very feminin garments and acessories have been made inspired by the cult physique from the 80s. The s/s 2011 collection will go on sale for next spring and will be sold in all the Pinko flagship stores and outlets.
